Yesterday, there was a mass shooting in the Texas. I was discussing this with a friend of mine and she said to me, “it feels that this has become so common that I when I saw a notification about this, I just skipped right through it. It’s so common now.” My friend is not a bad person, she doesn’t not care about the world. Previously, when there was a mass shooting in Australia, laws were changed such that something like would never happen again. However, in the United States that seems like an uphill and impossible battle.

Going back to the beginning, my name is Natasha Bhalla and I am a resident of New York and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Resident. I am starting this blog as a way to share topics that interest me. Currently it is issues in the United States – health care, immigration, gun control, to name a few. As time evolves, I am hoping to incorporate other topics that I feel passionate about. So I welcome you to join me on this journey. Thank you for reading!
